Side by Side: Monochrome Visions in Color (ARTIST SELECTION)

Another exciting Collaborative exhibit between Art League of Hilton Head and Lifelong Learning of Hilton Head Island this October!

Art League of Hilton Head and Lifelong Learning of Hilton Head Island are excited to announce another collaboration exhibit this coming October! The exhibit will have a "Side-by-side" theme of Monochrome Visions in Color where local photographers will submit a photograph, edited to black and white, and other artists will portray the same subject matter in their own medium, but in color. We will reveal the original photograph in color the evening of the reception next to the framed black and white image and the re-creation. 

Completed pieces, both photographs must be framed and dropped off at Art League Academy on October 18, 2024.. They will be hung next to their inspirational photograph during an exhibit open from October 21 to November 10, 2024, from 10am to 2pm each day. A celebratory reception will be held on October 25, 2024, from 5 to 7pm. The reception will be free and open to the public. Attendees of the reception will vote for their favorite photograph, recreation, and pair in a people's choice award.
