2026 Marching Panther Volunteer Sign Up (for Home Football Games & Competitions)

BEFORE SIGNING UP - Read the volunteer descriptions below.

Team Dinner Job Descriptions
During our preseason camp, we ask that families volunteer to provide food donations for our students. These are longer days and we want to make sure that they eat healthy. All food can be dropped off at the start of the rehearsal for the day or between 4-4:30 PM. We do want all food in the building by 4:30, so we have time to set it up for the students. We will also have an allergy list available. We are feeding approximately 100 students.

  • Dinner Coordinator - You will work with the other parents that sign up for your specific day. You are in charge of communicating with the other parents to ensure that they remember to drop off their 
  • Entrees - If you volunteer for this, you are purchasing the entree and cooking it. We have provided a schedule below. If you have another idea, we are open to changing the schedule. Please ask Mr. West before making that change.

      • Monday - Hot Dogs
      • Tuesday - Nacho Bar
      • Wednesday - Cheeseburgers
      • Thursday - Pasta & Chicken
      • Friday - Sandwiches
  • Chips or Other Snack - These can be bought and donated. Chips are ideal because of the salt. That replenishes some of the nutrients students will sweat out. You are welcome to purchase something other than chips. Please nothing high in sugar or overly processed.
  • Fruit - These can be bought and donated. It can be as simple as a couple of cases of apples or bananas. We know some families like to make fruit cups. You are welcome to do that if you want.
  • Drinks - These can be bought and donated. Drinks like Gatorade and Capri-Sun are great options. Please avoid any type of carbonated drink. No pop or energy drinks.

Game & Competition Job Descriptions
 
  • Podium Movers - These volunteers will roll out our drum major podiums and set them up at predesignated yardlines as the band takes the field and will collapse them and roll them off after our performance. This is needed for our pregame and halftime performances. Volunteers should be on the track by the band seating as the band marches in ready to set up for pregame and should come back down on the track by the band seating during second quarter to be ready for the halftime performance.
  • Water & Snacks - These volunteers will distribute water and snacks after the pregame performance and halftime performance as students come off the field. Water and snacks will be in the storage room. Volunteers will need to pick up ice on their way to the school to fill the coolers along with the water. For both sets of snacks, volunteers should grab something from our inventory that is more substance like a granola bar. Volunteers will need to move the water and snacks outside next to the band seating. There are carts to help move those items.
  • Uniforms - These volunteers should be in band room or music hallway as students are getting ready. As students change into unfirom, these volunteers are on hand to check the uniforms for any inconsistencies and any emergency repairs. A kti of supplies will be provided with saftey pins, thread and needle, etc. A checklist of what to look for will also be provided ahead of time.
  • Driver for Trailer - Besides our department trailer, we will be renting a UHaul for each competition due to the amount of equipment we have. We need one parent to drive this trailer to and from the competition. You will need to meet us at the school to hook up the trailer, but the students will load all of the equipment. Typically after our performance, our trailer returns to the school as soon as it is loaded. You can unhook the trailer and leave it with our other trailer and the students will unload them when they return.
