100 Hours for 100 years - SIM New Zealand Prayer Day (July)

Please join us for our monthly days of prayer leading up to SIM NZ's 100 Year Celebration

'By Prayer' - this has always been the motto of SIM. If you have supported us or journeyed with our partners over the years, you will know how central that is to all SIM does. Biographies attest to how prayer has come at just the right time to open doors for ministry, protect people, or meet needs. Our prayer groups have faithfully lifted up our office and our members. I've lost count of the number of supporters I've visited who have our Together magazine open to the prayer section and pray for our people daily.

So, with this history, we knew prayer had to be a foundational block of our 100 year celebration. We invite you to join us on 15 July (and then again in August, September, and October) to pray for SIM. First, sign up for a time slot in the schedule below. This can be for you individually or for a group that will pray together. There is no limit to how many people can sign up for a time slot and our hope is to have all 24 hours of each prayer day covered. Just click on a time slot, fill in the form at the bottom of the page with your contact details, and click 'Review & Confirm'. Easy Peasy - you're registered and ready to go.

Then, on 15 July, we ask that you gather at the time you've signed up for and pray for both our current ministry and the ministry God has in store for us in the coming years. We will share a prayer guide with requests from SIM International, our SIM NZ Office, and our members at least 48 hours prior to the actual prayer day. Each month we will also focus on a specific region and country. 

Our July focus is on our SIM foundation - Africa - and we will Feature SIM Ethiopia and SIM Nigeria as our focus. Why? Because sending workers to both of these countries were the key reason for Rowland Bingham to encourage New Zealand and Australia to set up local councils in 1926.
