Become a Room Parent!

Room Parents serve as a bridge between teachers, caregivers, and students, keeping families informed and connected, and reducing stress/ workload for teachers. Room parents in each grade-level work as a team to enhance the overall educational experience for students and create a supportive and organized classroom environment.

Responsibilities:
This is a list of potential roles that Room Parents can play. We understand that parents have busy schedules and we are thankful for whatever level of support you can provide. 

  • Communicate with teachers about classroom needs and support them in engaging grade-level parents and the PTO to help meet those needs. 
  • Partner with teachers to organize special events for their class/ grade and recruit volunteers (i.e. field trips, parties, special curriculum/ activities, etc.)
  • Help build a sense of community and collaboration among grade-level families.
  • Serve as a grade-level liaison to the PTO – share parent concerns/ suggestions and support the PTO in engaging parents in school-wide events/ teams.

If you are interested in becoming a room parent, please sign up below. The PTO Volunteer Coordinator will connect you with the teacher and other grade-level parents. You will also need to complete the following school district volunteer forms / procedures. Required forms are linked below; hard copies available in the school office:
-Volunteer Application (English) (Español)
-Volunteer Code of Conduct (English) (Español) 
-TB Risk Assessment Questionnaire (good for 4 years; school nurse can complete for you on Wednesdays)
-Provide school office with a copy of your government issued ID

Once forms are complete, please turn them into the school administration in the office.
