Thursday Night Market
Explore Downtown Chico’s Thursday Night Market in the heart of downtown and the beautiful City Plaza. This festive weekly event showcases farm-fresh produce from CDFA-certified farmers, a wide variety of prepared foods from food trucks and downtown restaurants, handmade local arts and crafts, and live singer-songwriter entertainment for all ages.
With more than 200 vendors participating this season and attendance exceeding 6,000 guests each week, volunteer support is essential to the success of this event. We invite you to sign up for the role that best fits your interests and availability:
Barricade Monitors – Assist with initial street closures and monitor designated barricades throughout the event to ensure public safety.
Block Captains – Help vendors locate their assigned spaces, assist with setup, monitor vehicle traffic during load-in and breakdown, and serve as a point of contact for vendors and performers during the market.
DCBA Information Booth Volunteers – Welcome guests and provide information about the market, downtown businesses, and upcoming events.
Runners – Provide general event support, including relieving volunteers for breaks, delivering water, and assisting with setup, breakdown, and post-event cleanup.
