Thunder Bay Repair Café @ Shop the Closet (Goods and Co. Market)
Thunder Bay Repair Café is so excited to be part of this year's Shop the Closet event on May 30 from 10am to 4pm at Goods and Co.
We will be offering the following:
a) Drop-in repair/textile advice: basic fixes like buttons, seams, hems.b) Mini mending demos: ~15 minute on-the-spot demos people can watch and participate in. Offered every half hour; supplies provided.
- This will also be an opportunity for anyone interested in becoming a volunteer to come out and share basic skills!
- Sew a Button: Thread needle, basic stitch, secure button.
- Hand Stitch Sampler: Running stitch; backstitch; whip stitch.
- Patch a Hole: patch placement and stitching; iron-on option.
- Visible Mending: reinforce a worn area; add decoration; cover a stain.

We will also be hosting a clothing swap and a FREE clothing repair station with volunteer menders from @tbayrepaircafe
