Serve in Worship: June 7-Sept 6 (2026)

Welcomers: All you need to be a Welcomer is a warm smile, an open heart, and a willingness to connect with others. You don't need to be an extrovert! As people arrive, you can say something simple, like: "I'm glad to see you" or "Welcome, I'm glad you're here today."  For those folks you don't know, you could say: "Hi, I’m____________; I don't believe we've met yet." It's okay if you're not great with names. Warmth is more important than perfect name recall.

 

Livestream Operator: If you're signing up to run the livestream for the first time, Luke Cooper or one of the other experienced livestreamers will sit with you and coach you during the service.  We also have a training video available at https://youtu.be/XMDeHE5PCko, and a printed guide is available at the livestreaming station.

 

Lectors: This is a ministry of reading Scripture texts aloud during worship.  It requires a clear, strong voice, a willingness to rehearse your reading(s), and a desire to help others find meaning in the Scriptures through energetic proclamation.  If you have questions about being a lector, please contact Rev. Healing Prayer Ministers: to discuss learning to offer healing prayer, please contact coordinator Ian Richmond (woodenpearl@protonmail.com).

 

Money Counters: to discuss being trained and authorized to count, please contact the Accounting Warden, Bill FitzGerald (wfitz@camden.rutgers.edu).

Children's Ministry: Every Sunday from 10:40-11:05, our children learn together in two classrooms on the Second Floor of the Parish House.  We need 3 adult volunteers(one leader and two aids) each week to make Children's Ministry happen.  If you haven't been trained or have any questions, please contact Michelle at germaine@stmarysardmore.org

Please sign up for roles by Wednesday night of each week.  Michelle is off Friday and Saturday, so she needs to know by Thursday morning whether we have enough volunteers to staff two classrooms.  If we don't have enough volunteers, all children will be together in one classroom on that Sunday.

Occasional Roles: We occasionally need help with setting up spaces for events, with bringing food for potlucks, and with other one-time needs.  Those sign-ups will also appear here.
