There are over 150 wines produced in Maryland. Try them all in just one day!
The annual Maryland Wine Festival takes place every September at the Carroll County Farm Museum in Westminster, Maryland. Organized by Maryland Wineries Association, the festival presents wine tastings from over 45 wineries as well as live music, 25 crafts booths, delicious food, and various activities. The hours are 11 am to 5 pm.
Maryland Wine Festival features over 150 excellent wines offering an amazing variety of local products. Visitors can purchase The Explorer Pass that grants a larger tasting glass, about 40 additional exclusive wines samples and access to the Hilltop Hangout, a shaded seating area. Also, it's possible to participate in a blind tasting. Live Music on the main stage features local and national musicians playing jazz and ’80s hits.
Food is another highlight of the Maryland Wine Festival. Don't forget to stop by the Cheese Pavilion, offering samples of premiere cheeses by local creameries. Vendors offer delicious appetizers like oysters and crabcakes, as well as street food like gyros or brick-oven pizza.
