Join Our Mission: Help Us Prepare for Lent!
We are so excited to invite you to be a vital part of the House of Mercy Lenten Cross program! This beautiful tradition helps our community embrace the pillars of prayer, service, and almsgiving, but it all starts with the hands that prepare the way. We are looking for a dedicated team of volunteers to help us assemble the thousands of tags that will soon hang on crosses throughout our local churches. Whether you have a few hours to spare or can join us for a full day, your contribution—no matter how small it may seem—is what makes this entire program possible.

This is a wonderful opportunity for those who enjoy a social, indoor task that requires a steady hand and a helpful heart.
- When: Monday, February 9 – Friday, February 13
- Time: During workday hours (see shifts below)
- Where: On-site at House of Mercy
- The Task: Assembling tags (labels, stickers, and knots), counting, and sorting them into bundles for our partner churches.
This is a true team effort! Last year, our volunteers hand-crafted over 3,500 tags, which meant carefully placing 10,000+ individual labels and stickers to ensure every message was perfect. It’s a rhythmic, mostly seated task that is perfect for chatting with fellow volunteers while making a massive impact.
Please see the available volunteer slots below to sign up!
