JOIN US IN PRAYING THE WEEK LEADING UP TO THE WEEKEND!
The WEEKEND is a 3 day, discipleship weekend for the students of Graceland Church and the Southern Indiana area! This event will be filled with Biblical teaching, worship, fellowship, small groups, and meaningful service projects carried out by our students. We have seen a lot of fruit come from this event in the past, and by God's grace, we hope to see more of that this year.
Our theme for The WEEKEND this year is "Imago Dei." We will be discussing the fact that everyone is made in the image of God and that gives you ultimate purpose! When we attempt to put our identity in anything else, all is folly. We want all of our students to come to an understanding and belief that their identity is in Christ alone and their is a direct purpose for their life!
Things to pray for:
- For the students. Pray for their hearts to be softened towards the gospel and for receptive eyes and ears. Peay for them to put away distractions from this world so that they may be able to focus on God fully. Lastly, pray for each student to come to a deeper realization that they are made in the image of God and have been created with meaning and purpose.
- For the leaders. Pray for wisdom and guidance for our leaders as they facilitate discussion and actions that will point our students to the Lord. Events like this take a lot of energy and can only be carried out by leaders who serve out of an overflow of their heart. Pray for them to lean on God and to be filled with the Spirit that mighty things may be done through them.
- For the gathering space. We expect hundreds students to be at this event. Pray that our facilities will be more than adequate for the students to have a safe and comfortable space to learn about the Lord and spend time together.
- For salvation and enriched relationships with Jesus. Our ultimate goal in Student Ministry is to see kids come to know Christ and follow him all the days of their life. Pray that God would save students this weekend and relationships with those who do know him would be enriched beyond comprehension!
